All of my rates are open for discussion but generally I am not looking to work unless the base rate is met. I do offer package deals so the "hourly rate" is more of a guidance figure than a hard line cost.
As for group rates: if you have a group of friends that are interested in surf photos, the group base rate does not change no matter how many people you include. Solo surfing is okay up to three people but I cannot guarantee photos of anyone outside of the primary client.
If not a package deal, the "hourly" rate is not necessarily a true "hourly" either as I understand that photos take time and the best window for surfing is transient - as such, paying for an hour may result in 1.5-3 hours and I will not charge extra for the additional time. Whatever we agree upon before shooting is the cost to shoot. Unless there is some adverse change in schedule, location or key details the cost will not change.
I do not charge for the first round of editing, though additional revisions will cost $50 per request. I also generally don't send RAW photos as I do not send unedited work. If that is an absolute need I can reconsider. Just ask!
Photography Base Rates
Solo (1-3 people*)
WATER SURF PHOTOGRAPHY: $200/Hour subject to increase depending on the spot.
LAND SURF PHOTOGRAPHY: $100/Hour
Portrait Work - Inquire, but generally $75/hr. Subject to variation based on season; location; day of week; type, etc. Max usually ends up around $125-150/hr.
Group (3+ people):
WATER PHOTOGRAPHY: $400/Hour subject to increase depending on the spot.
LAND PHOTOGRAPHY: $250/Hour
Portrait Work - Inquire, but generally $200/hr. Subject to variation based on season; location; day of week; type, etc. Max usually ends up around $325-350/hr.
Video Base Rates

Considering that I have two housings I can shoot photos and video from the water simultaneously. Consider this a "video add-on" to the initial photo shoot rate... or treat photos as a bonus. Either way, you will get both medium.
All videos are shot in 4K 120fps and 10bit 4.2.0 LOG Color. Videos converted back to standard color space and lightly graded before delivery. These prices are for both photos and videos; but because of the nature of surf photography/filming I cannot guarantee 100% - though I have 90% confidence that I will get good work.
SINGULAR LAND FILMING: $250/Hour
